Our History
1969
FIMSA was founded in 1969 in Torreon, Coahuila under the name of Grupo Industrial Fimsa. It began its activities as a small repair shop for mineral processing equipment. Its founder, Mr. Rogelio Gaitan E. The company, Fabrica de Implementos Mineros S.A. was incorporated in 1970 and moved to its current facilities in Gomez Palacio, Durango. Shortly after, it began manufacturing flotation beneficiation plants, with crushing, grinding and concentration lines for the mining industry.
1973
In 1973, it obtained its first turnkey project with the construction of a fluorspar ore flotation plant with a capacity of 100 TPD, in Coahuila.
1996
By 1996 FIMSA had already expanded and had manufactured more than 50 beneficiation plants located in different parts of the country.
1997
In 1997 FIMSA ventures into the aggregates sector, such as road builders and cement companies, manufacturing crushing and screening plants, thanks to the great vision of Mr. Rogelio Gaitan.
2001
In 2001, FIMSA started looking for American brands to distribute in Mexico and grow in the mining and construction sector. Since then, FIMSA began to integrate equipment from brands such as Sandvik, Trio, Remco, etc. into its chassis.
2011
We became the first company in our industry in Mexico to obtain ISO 9001 certification by complying with the guidelines for the application of the quality management system for each stage of development of our products and services.
2015
We obtained the re-certification and transition to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, so we keep ourselves updated and always in favor of continuous improvement.
2019
We celebrated in a big way the 50th anniversary of our company and the inauguration of new industrial buildings, which add 3000 m2 more to the existing ones. We invited our customers, suppliers and friends to a tour and inauguration of our new warehouses, we celebrated with a 50th anniversary gala dinner and the next day with a series of social events, making them part of our history.
2021
We created new commercial ties with brands that have a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental support in the mining, aggregates production, cement and other industries.
Current
Over time, FIMSA has diversified and has added complementary products to the crushing and screening stage, a stage in which we are specialists. Today, FIMSA has 11 distributions of equipment and technologies for the mining and construction sectors, mainly, with participation in projects of bulk products, recycling, glass, concrete, asphalt, among others.
